We combine these original forms with a touch of Doris & Co ‘loveability’.
From our creamware mugs and jugs through to our wrought iron trivets, only the finest quality raw materials are used, the most patient craftsmanship employed, as we aim to make house wares of beauty and utility, to last many lifetimes.
But it’s not just that we want make things to last in a practical sense, we hope we make things you’d want to last – for sentimental reasons – that’s why our designs are heartfelt, honest and enduring.
We hope you’ll agree that there is a tactile magic to every one of our items, a tangible heritage to it and a touch of the ‘heirloom’ to it too.
We love to think that one day one of our grandchildren will be sipping from their grandparents most beloved cup.

Belinda Sillars is a highly respected and internationally renowned sculptor who specialises in equestrian and country bronze sculptures. Her award-winning work is unique and highlights her sheer talent with this amazing medium.
Doris was established in 2011, borne out of a nostalgia for good old-fashioned craftsmanship and the love of a good turn of phrase. Never one to hide her light under a bushel, the aforementioned Doris has become quite a quirky character with a niche market of discerning followers of creamware.
Doris likes to think that she provides more than just a drinking vessel or a homeware product – her well-placed and well-meaning mottoes offer comfort, stoicism and sometimes a good old-fashioned kick up the behind! The inspiration came from a small Victorian Christening mug, with its cautionary message and beautifully wrought design.
Doris is proud to be manufactured at one of the last remaining potteries in Stoke-on-Trent, with each individual mug hand-poured into the mould and all the decoration laid by hand. Doris creamware takes time to manufacture and is made to last several lifetimes – never faddish or throwaway, Doris creamware is definitely a special gift, think of it as an heirloom or a memento.
Doris moved to Somerset in 2015 and is enjoying her life in the country – as a staunch supporter of Agas, home-cooking and the occasional gin & tonic, Doris fitted right into Somerset life and is often found baking or making soup in her kitchen. She loves to hear from her customers and friends and is pleased to be introducing other homeware items to accompany her creamware – the story continues…
Doris was pleased to be short-listed for the 2015 Country Homes & Interiors Business Awards.
